Asenby Parish Council's aim is to best represent the residents of Asenby, and although many final decisions affecting Asenby are made by North Yorkshire Council, the Parish Council often has the opportunity to input on things such as planning, highways and other decisions affecting our community.

It’s responsible for arranging the maintenance of grassed areas, protected trees, community parks and any other facility owned by the Council. 

There is a are five places on the Council with support from a Parish Council Clerk. Its team of volunteer councillors are keen about making our community a better place for all but this is very dependent on support from the local community.
